Ce site permet d'étudier la juxtaposition des réponses hydrologiques rurales et urbaines sur un bassin en cours d'urbanisation, avec le suivi de deux points de mesure du débit : Sautron (450 ha) en amont du ruisseau, et Chézine-Procé (30 km²) en aval au centre ville (suivi par Nantes métropole), et le suivi de l’exutoire d’un bassin de rétention situé en amont et récoltant des eaux de voirie.
