Abstract
Discrete water samples for chlorophyll-analysis were collected at 0.5, 5, 10 and 15 meters in the Gulf of Trieste – time series station (station C1). The site is part of the LTER-North Adriatic site. The overall aim of Long Term Ecosystem Research in the coastal area of the Gulf of Trieste, in the northernmost part of the Adriatic Sea and of the Mediterranean basin is to gain a better understanding of the temporal dynamics of phytoplankton bloom evolution, with particular focus on the response to natural and man – induced environmental changes. Method Description
The given site contains some of the used methods as laboratory instructions to be downloaded as pdf. They were written for students paractical courses. The language of this material is German (only, so far). A station methods manual is under construction. Language will be English. Note, that nutrients are measured in a continuous flow analyser, not manually. Some methods are still missing (plankton microscopy). Some methods changed recently or will be modified soon. Any user has to ask for the exact information for a specific method and time range. (Spatial Scale Description: Measurements are performed at the metereological station of CNR-ISE Pallanza,)
