Methodology

Method Description

The meteorological station is located at a clearing area in the uppermost catchment of LTER Zöbelboden

Instrumentation

Near surface air temperature was measured in 2 m height with a Kroneis NTC sensor system. Precipitation was measured with a heated tipping bucket rain gauge (Kroneis, Paar). Air humidity was measured with a hygrometer (Lambrecht-Permix, 800-N30). Radiation was measured with a pyranometer (Schenk, 8101) and a sunshine duration sensor (Kroneis Solar 111). A combined wind velocity and direction device was used (Kroneis, 263PRH).
