Method Description
Water temperature was measured at different depths over the whole water column at the point of maximum depth of the lake (Spatial Scale Description: Stand-level biomass increment was assessed by tree ring analyses. In 2011 130 Q. petraea and 99 Q. cerris samples were analyzed. In 2012 19-19 Q. petraea and Q. cerris samples were analyzed. All samples were collected in the permanent 1 hectare plot of the LTER site. Mean tree ring widths were used in allometry equations to calculate aboveground biomass change tree-by-tree and sum up to stand level using tree inventory of the site. Yearly increments were corrected by tree mortality data.)
